Period 1 & Period 2 Combined Dress Rehearsal:
Thursday, December 7th, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
The votes are in! This is our only opportunity to rehearse as one large group the pieces we are performing together for our concert on December 14th. If you are unable to attend, I need a written note (email or handwritten) by Wednesday, December 6th 11:59 p.m.

BYMS Instrumental Music Concert: Thursday, December 14th, 7:00 p.m., Tommy Lasorda Field House

We are looking forward to showing the progress students have made at our winter concert! Admission is free, and student attendance is required (worth 200 points). Students must be in correct performance attire in order to perform. Use this time to double check that you have the correct performance wear!

Extra credit opportunity for all BYMS Instrumental Music Students: Attend the Count Meets the Duke jazz concert with jazz bands from Esperanza HS & Valencia HS with special guest artist Barbara Morrison. Take a selfie with Mrs. Neumayr to receive extra credit. See attached flyer.

Marching Band & Colorguard Photos have been delivered. Please see Mrs. Neumayr to pick up your orders this week.
If you would like to purchase a copy of the group photo from the Disneyland performance, they are $20 made out to BYEU (we have pre-purchased them from Disneyland for $20 each).

Hello BYEU students and parents,
We ask that you join us for a screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi at the Starlight Cinema City Theater on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 6:00pm. Movie tickets are only $10.00 each. A 22 oz. soda and 46 oz. popcorn combo is available for an additional $7.00.

Also on January 6th, a Dine-out fundraiser will be held at the McDonald’s restaurant located near the Cinema City Theater from 4-9pm. Take a night off from cooking and enjoy delicious burgers, salads, and shakes! 40% of all purchases will be donated to BYEU.

In order to watch the PG-13 movie, each child will need a signed permission slip. Seats are limited! Tickets go on sale for BYEU students on December 6th during one-lunch Wednesday in front of the music room. Students MUST have a signed permission slip to purchase or attend this event. On December 13th, ticket sales will open up to all Bernardo Yorba students.

The permission slip and movie and dine-out night flyer are attached.

Concert season is upon us! Please read below for important uniform information

BYEU BLACK POLO SHIRTS Please double check if you have your black polo shirt. If you have not paid $17, please bring that to school ASAP. If you believe you have paid and have not received your black polo shirt, please send an email to treasurer@bymsmusic.org so we may follow up.

Students who must have a black polo:
Period 1 – Performing Band – need for December 14th concert
Period 2 – Performing Band – need for December 14th concert
Advanced Orchestra – need for Knott’s December 8th & December 14th concert

BLACK T-SHIRTS ARE IN for Beginning Band, Intermediate Band and Intermediate Orchestra. The have been distributed.

All students are to wear black dress pants (no leggings, jeans, sweat pants), black dress shoes (no sneakers) and black dress socks. If you are unsure if your pants/shoes are acceptable, bring them in or take a picture and send them to Mrs. Neumayr

FAIR SHARE REMINDER Just a friendly reminder that if you have not turned in your Fair Share donation along with a blue paper, to please do so soon.
