Matador Instrumental Music Updates
Bernardo Yorba Entertainment Unit Weekly Newsletter
Week starting 10/1/18
The most successful students have involved parents.
With the start of October, we are officially in the busy season for Marching Band and Colorguard. A reminder to please notify Mrs. Neumayr at least 2 weeks in advance of an event if you will be absent in order to avoid a grade penalty.
I want to thank all of the volunteers who have spent countless hours sewing, ironing, pinning and working on our uniforms to get ready for our first performance on Saturday, 10/13.
Many parents and students have inquired about Disneyland performance dates–we are still waiting to hear back from them for all of our groups. You will be updated as soon as Disneyland sends out an update.
We have one week left for our Fundraiser! Don’t forget to check with your teachers and the front office staff to see if they would like to purchase any items–lots of items make GREAT gifts.

Mixed Bag & Mrs. Fields – 9/24-10/8 Watch for order forms to be sent home with your student on 9/24 — these items make GREAT gifts for the upcoming holiday season, especially for teachers, family friends, and others. Additionally, the Mixed Bags last a VERY long time and are very easy to carry–perfect for when you are at Trader Joe’s or even Costco.
Until we have a Uniform board member, we will need parents to sign up to take charge of uniforms for each event. Duties include ensuring students receive the correct uniform that corresponds with the master list, ensuring students are dressed properly, and managing handing out of hats. Please contact Mandy McCarthy firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to help. All events are listed on the calendar.
Please do not wait until the last minute to ask for an extension on a due date.
Assignments and forms are always accepted before the due date.
