This week is very busy with many exciting activities. There are a few changes to our “normal” weekly schedule.
Monday – No changes, Intermediate and Advanced Group Practice Log begins (Google Classroom)
Tuesday – Orchestra Photos during lunch & 6th period – see attached info sheet
Wednesday – Assembly Schedule, Band Pageant after school – see attached info sheet
Thursday – No Jazz Band, Periods 1 & 2 Homework/Study hall during class
Friday – Advanced Orchestra rehearsal after school 3:15-5:45
Thursday & Friday – 7th graders attending 4Word Momentum Workshop in MPR all day (last name A-M Thurs, N-Z Fri.)
Baldwin Park Wrap Up GREAT job to everyone who performed this Saturday! Our score improved by 4 points, and we placed 4th. We will discuss specifics on Monday during class. Thank you to every single volunteer who chaperoned, watered, ran, helped dress, drive, haul, load and unload, and any other tasks done to make this day a success.

Advanced Orchestra Polo Shirts are supposed to arrive on Tuesday morning. They have taken much longer than expected to arrive. If they do not arrive in time for photos, we have shirts students can use for the photo, and students who have paid for polo shirts will receive them as soon as they arrive. If you still have not paid for your polo shirt, they are $17.00, please make checks out to BYEU.

Advanced Orchestra – After school rehearsal with Esperanza High School orchestra students Fri 11/9 3:15-5:45 p.m. We are very excited to be working with the high school students on our music, as well as string techniques. It is always a fun and educational rehearsal when we have students from the high schools come to work with our students. Attendance is required and will be counted towards your grade!
Jazz Band Fair Share is now due. $50.00 for the 2018-19 school year–this covers your Jazz shirt, entry fees to festivals and materials handed out in class. Please contact email@example.com for questions. Please make checks out to BYEU.
PYLUSD BAND PAGEANT – Wednesday, November 7th, Bradford Stadium, 7 p.m.– The 43rd annual Placentia Yorba Linda Unified School District Band Pageant will take place at Bradford Stadium on Wednesday evening November 7th. This event features all of the district middle school and high school bands. It is an evening to remember and appreciate the talent throughout our district. Tickets for this spectacular event are $5.00 and are currently available through band and colorguard students.
Marching Band and Colorguard will receive an envelope with 10 tickets this week. Students are responsible for returning either money or unsold tickets by Wednesday November 7th. Please see Mrs. Neumayr if you need more tickets to sell! BYEU receives 100% of monies made for pre-sold tickets at this discounted price. We have to split sales at the door with all 10 schools participating.
