The most successful students have involved parents.

AREA NIGHT DATE CHANGE I have just been sent an updated calendar and our Area Night Performances are as follows:

4/29  Mon Area Night Performance – Advanced Orchestra – 7:30 p.m.

5/1 Wed Area Night Performance – WE/PB, Jazz Band – 6:00 p.m.

Pre-Festival Performance & Clinic Wrap Up I am VERY proud of the performance from Wednesday night. GREAT JOB to all of our performers–way to represent BYMS! Our clinicians, Mrs. Crask & Mrs. Garcia provided some excellent feedback on stage that we will be able to use to elevate our performances for the SCSBOA festival on March 27&28. A HUGE thank you to all of the parent volunteers who helped load, transport, supervise and set up/clean up. Thank you to Mr. Gibbons and Mr. Trapolino for hauling equipment to and from BYMS. These events cannot happen without parent support.

There were still many students who are not wearing the correct clothing items. Socks must be black, shoes must be black dress shoes (no vans, converse, nike’s etc.). Dinkles are always a great option. Pants must be black – no blue jeans, no charcoal grey, BLACK. In addition to being judged on our musical performance, we are judged on our appearance and stage presence.

Advanced Orchestra has two special rehearsals next week.

  1. 3/21 (Thursday) Mrs. Crask has offered to come to our class to work with us further on our music–how cool! Make sure to bring a pencil and come in from lunch ON TIME.
  2. 3/22 (Friday) After School Rehearsal with EHS Sinfonia Students 3:30-5:45 p.m. – Required Attendance (100 points)
    • (If you have a prior commitment and cannot attend, I need to know by Wednesday, March 20th in writing)

March Extra Credit Opportunities (open to all students unless you are performing)
