BYEU Booster Board 2019-2020  Our Booster Board has spent countless hours to make this year successful. Thank you for all of your work for our program and for volunteering your hours. Many of our current board members will be moving on to the high schools with their students! Without the help of these positions, we could not do the events, fundraisers, performances and competitions that we do! Please consider volunteering for one of the open positions so that we may continue to operate at the level we do.

Yorba Meadows Spring Concert & Awards – May 30th Please join us as we celebrate the end of our school year with our Spring Concert and Awards Ceremony! This evening will feature all instrumental groups performing a variety of classical, pop, jazz and traditional pieces. We will also be presenting MANY awards to students for their hard work and dedication throughout the last year. This performance is a mandatory event for all instrumental music students and is a majority of their 4th quarter grade.

1st Annual Paper Plate Awards – 6/11 Band and Orchestra classes have been nominating their peers for various awards (i.e., Most Dependable, Best Compliments, Highest Notes Played) to be presented at the first annual Paper Plate Awards Ceremony. Students are invited to come after school to the MPR to receive their award(s) and celebrate one last time as a full instrumental music program. Note – there is no change to awards presented at BYMS Awards Night & Yorba Meadows.

Instrument Check In will begin on 6/5. If you are an 8th grader, please plan to bring your instrument(s) in to be checked in. If you are a 7th grader, you may check your instrument out for the summer, but please bring it in so we can verify serial number, quality, and make any necessary repairs. Final day for instrument check in is 6/14 for Adv. Orch & Jazz Band Instruments.

Section Leader & Leadership Team Interviews/Auditions will occur during the week of 6/3. More information will be given via Google Classroom.
